Drunkard’s Walk (AKA random walk)
A random walk, AKA Drunkard’s Walk, is a mathematical formalization of a path that consists of a succession of random steps.

Extra Credit (Extrapolations)
The items discussed here are based on real science, but not directly related to the concept of the Holographic Universe; rather they are extrapolations, possible tools for further explorations.

Fourier Transform
The Fourier transform decomposes a function of time (a signal) into the frequencies that make it up, in a way similar to how a musical chord can be expressed as the amplitude (or loudness) of its constituent notes. The result can then be rebuilt to recreate the original signal exactly.

MAC Address
A media access control address (MAC address) of a computer is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications at the data link layer of a network segment. MAC addresses are used as a network address for most IEEE 802 network technologies, including Ethernet and WiFi.

Multiverse
The multiverse (or meta-universe) is the hypothetical set of finite and infinite possible universes, including the universe in which we live.

Nyquist Frequency
The minimum rate at which a signal can be sampled without introducing errors, which is twice the highest frequency present in the signal

Ockham’s Razor A principle from philosophy. Suppose there exist two explanations for an occurrence. In this case the simpler one is usually better. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation is.

Quantum Hologram (no link)
The universe is expanding, and the quantum hologram is defined as the expanding edge of the universe. Because time began at the instant the universe came into existence, that leading edge is the current time – Now.

One of the easiest ways to debunk something is to throw a mystic at it. If you search the Web for the phrase “quantum hologram,” the majority of references relate to former astronaut and mystic Edgar Mitchell. As far as I can tell (and as far as I need to tell,) none of his writings are relative to the concepts discussed on this site.

ReaLine
The ReaLine is a term I created to distinguish the “location” of the consciousness on one side of the line from the body/QH/apparent reality on the other. Of course, another assumption I make is that the consciousness itself expresses as a waveform, and thus We Are All One becomes fairly obvious.

Schrödinger’s Cat
A cat imagined as being enclosed in a box with a radioactive source and a poison that will be released when the source (unpredictably) emits radiation, the cat being considered (according to quantum mechanics) to be simultaneously both dead and alive until the box is opened and the cat observed.

Singularity
In the center of a black hole is a gravitational singularity, a one-dimensional point which contains a huge mass in an infinitely small space, where density and gravity become infinite and space-time curves infinitely, and where the laws of physics as we know them cease to operate.

Sith Lord
In the Star Wars franchise, Sith Lord was a title conferred upon individuals who followed the Sith tradition. Sith Lords drew upon the dark side of the Force, using it to gain power.

“Solid” Science
The items discussed here are generally considered as science fact. If you disagree with the information on these pages, it is between you and the actual researchers.

If you do not understand the science, but accept it as fact, then you, like me, are taking it “on faith” (which is why I call this site a Church…)

Trompe-l’œil
A style of painting in which things are painted in a way that makes them look like real objects

Tulpa
A concept in mysticism of a being or object which is created through sheer spiritual or mental discipline alone.

Turtles All The Way Down
Hawking tells the tale thus:
A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell) once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the center of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy. At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: “What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise.” The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, “What is the tortoise standing on?” “You’re very clever, young man, very clever,” said the old lady. “But it’s turtles all the way down!”
And I have since  learned the turtle’s name is Singularity

Waldo
Robert Heinlein’s story Waldo describes the creation of robotic hands and arms decades before their real-world development. In the story, these devices, invented by a character named Waldo Farthingwaite, became popularly known as “waldoes”. In reference to this story, the real-life remote manipulators that were later developed also came to be called waldoes.

Zero Logo
The font chosen for the Zero reflects the illusory nature of the universe. Look closely – is that really a zero? Actually, it’s the negative space of a zero – like us…

Zettahertz
A unit of frequency equal to 1021 hertz (cycles per second)
